Order- and production planning in October 2020

The 2020 Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important festival in China after the Chinese New Year and falls on October 1st with the National Day holiday and will prolong to October 8th.

The name is related to the fact that it is always celebrated in the middle of the autumn season. The day is also known as the Moon Festival, as at that time of the year the moon is at its roundest and brightest.

The National Day, celebrated on October 1st is to mark the formation of the People’s Republic of China. The holiday is also celebrated by China’s two special administrative regions: Hong Kong and Macau.

The Chinese government expanded the celebrations by several days to give its citizens a seven-day vacation period.

Traditionally, the festivities are celebrated nationwide beginning with the ceremonial raising of the Chinese national flag in Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The flag ceremony is concluded with a fireworks displays.
